Chaotic Fun, Beautifully Designed, Solid Challenging Game
This is a top game, the first Smash Bros I had was the one on the N64. I do find it sometimes a bit confusing with all the options and bells and whistles with game modes and such, but that does make it all the more fun for longer periods.

Another cool thing is that you can unlock the classic mode where you have to fight against "the master hand" at the end, just like on the N64; and then win a trophy of each character.

There are plenty of trophies to win. The amiibo is a nice addition; I have the Yoshi amiibo. When you play in classic mode, you can win items for your amiibo and you can even use your amiibo in your team. It really grows in skill along with you.

One issue though, there are quite a lot of fighters, and you can unlock about 6 more (you get them all after 100 *smash* matches). This might sound like a strange issue, but to unlock everything you simply need too much time.

The levels are really cool. Everything moves, things happen... There are hundreds of items each with their own effects. And if that's not enough, you can create your own levels.

The controls are intuitive. To me, it felt exactly the same as on the N64, but with added precision and nicer graphical movements.

The box says from 12+ years, but with parental supervision, I would say it's also fine for 7+.

9.9 because you're thrown into the deep end right away. I think this was the idea of "games should be fun right from the start." However, this turns out oddly because I still don't know all the possibilities. There's simply too much to set up, and communication about it in the game is poor, which is a downside.

The ultimate battle starts here!
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a game where you have to knock your opponent out of the field. Literally. With characters from the entire Nintendo universe, you can face off against your friends!

This game is fantastic to play with friends. With the many different characters, stages to fight in, various items, and customizable characters, it's a never-ending brawl.

The game features various modes. Of course, the regular Smash, Team Smash, and Coin Battle. A new mode is Smash Tour, where you compete against your opponent on a kind of game board. Along the way, you collect fighters that you use in a time battle against each other at the end!

The game looks great to play. The stages look stunning, and everything works perfectly. Unfortunately, the game doesn't have an adventure mode like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Additionally, there is no Tournament Mode present.

All in all, I give this game a solid 10. You need to have this one!

The classic continues
The fourth installment of the smash series, available on both 3DS and WiiU. According to true fans, Brawl was nothing compared to Melee. Would this version then be better?

It quickly became apparent that everything ran very smoothly. 'Lag' hardly occurs anymore. This makes the game flow better and executing combos more enjoyable.

The new characters are great additions, with a few exceptions. The 'clone characters' are very present in this game. Apart from that, the balance between the characters is better than any Smash game so far.
In conclusion? Smash WiiU reaches the same level as Melee. With the online feature, you can even have more fun with it. Truly a recommendation and a must-have for the WiiU!

SSB for Wii U surpasses its predecessors in every aspect!
The Super Smash Bros. series is one of Nintendo's most well-known series. Finally, the fourth installment has arrived, available for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

To start with, the game looks absolutely stunning with its HD graphics. Every detail is meticulously crafted. This already brings a smile to my face. Along with the amazing soundtrack, this game is a delight for both the eyes and ears.

But a game is more than just that. The gameplay, as with all Smash games, is fantastic. Battling with over 50 characters from many well-known Nintendo series... What could be more fun than that? For the first time, you can do that with 8 players. A bit chaotic, but loads of fun.

My main characters are Bowser Jr., Toon Link, and Mario. The movesets are truly diverse and suit my playstyle the best. For a fun online battle, I prefer playing on Battlefield or Final Destination, without the elements from the other stages, which are also super fun by the way. But to test and improve your skills, you really should play on these two stages and actually disable items.

The multiplayer (both online and offline) is top-notch. What about single-player? Plenty, I can tell you. This game rightfully earns the 'Supersize badge'. You can play Classic Mode, Stadium, Smash Tour (the completely new mode), and other smaller things. Smash Tour is quite interesting, but not amazing. It resembles a Mario Party board, where you gather as many items as possible to strengthen yourself for the final battle against each other. In my opinion, there's not enough actual fighting involved.

If you're looking for a fun fighting game, a fan of Nintendo series, or simply must have the new Smash game, then definitely get this one! You'll never run out of things to do with the numerous modes, fairly high level of difficulty, and collectibles (trophies). I almost forgot to mention that you can train your amiibo in the game, which is also very enjoyable. Otherwise, have eight amiibo battle each other and bet on your favorite. Plenty to keep you busy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has perfected the fighting
Fight it out for the first time with all your favorite characters from various games in full HD in Super Smash Bros for Wii U. "Let's settle it, In Smash!"

Super Smash Bros for Wii U was released on November 21, 2014, and is the fifth game in the Smash Bros series of games. Super Smash Bros for Wii U plays the same as Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS because they were made simultaneously. The two games have many different features from each other including stages, trophies, and game modes. The two games feel identical in terms of gameplay, and all playable characters in Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS are also in the Wii U version, and vice versa.

Super Smash Bros has been trying to find the right style for a long time. In Super Smash Bros Melee, the game was rushed and many things were taken out to release it on time. When the next game, Super Smash Bros Brawl, was made, they had enough time to include what they wanted. Unfortunately, even in that game, the right style was not found because everything had to look realistic, and the gravity in the game itself was too low, making characters feel very floaty. The game was made for casual players and not for those who want to compete and improve. Then came Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, where they perfected the style. Every character feels at home in the game without losing the essence of that character. The more realistic characters look more realistic, and the more drawn characters seem to come straight from their own games, which is amazing.

The gameplay in Super Smash Bros for Wii U has also been greatly improved. The characters feel better to play as, and the game itself looks beautiful. Now, when you're fighting, you see appropriate effects when you land a hit, for example. The game doesn't feel unfair, and each character looks unique enough that you can silhouette them all and still see who is who. A total of 17 new playable characters have been added (including 3 different Mii options), and among them, they have chosen the best of the best. For the first time, you can have 8 players fighting simultaneously. It works better than you'd expect, and the game still runs perfectly. It's just a shame that you can't choose every map.

Speaking of maps, unfortunately, this game has few fun maps to fight on. For example, great maps like Wily Castle are ruined by bases that randomly invade the map and are just annoying.

The music in the game is fantastic. The game features over 400 songs from various game series, including remixes made by the developers themselves.

Now you know all the things the game does well, but what's not so good? First of all, I find it unfortunate that there is no adventure/story mode like in Super Smash Bros Melee or Brawl with epic scenes. Super Smash Bros for Wii U tries to make up for this by adding many different modes. It sounds good on paper, but in reality, it's quite disappointing because none of those modes are really fun to play. For example, the main side mode called "Smash Tour" is a board game where almost anything you do doesn't matter because everything is too random. All modes feel unfinished, so you won't spend much time on them.

Super Smash Bros for Wii U has greatly improved its online compared to Super Smash Bros Brawl. Now you have "For Fun" where all maps and items are on. Additionally, you have "For Glory," which is more focused on more serious battles, where you can choose to fight against 3 other players or have a 1v1 battle.

Super Smash Bros for Wii U also has DLC. From the DLC, you can buy stages or Mii costumes, but the best part of the DLC is the extra characters, giving you more characters than before.

There isn't much to say about Super Smash Bros for Wii U. They have perfected what the game is about, making it a very fun family game, and for hardcore gamers, it's a great time with lots of things to learn. It's just a shame that there isn't much besides the main mode. Now that Super Smash Bros Ultimate is out for the Nintendo Switch, the game isn't really necessary to buy if you already have a Switch because everything Wii U does, Ultimate does better.

You can now battle with 8 players which is absolutely fantastic! By the way, there is also an online mode where you can fight for glory or just for fun.

Definitely Worth More Than the Money!
Super Smash Bros is already one of my favorite game series. I mean, all your favorite Nintendo characters in a game fighting for victory? Amazing!

But this game for the Wii U takes it to the next level as the fourth installment in the series by featuring over 50 characters, including the three Mii Fighters that are your own Mii characters. You can now also create your own characters by collecting items and giving them to your characters or Amiibos. Two-player option for almost all game modes and a brand-new way to earn trophies, Trophy Rush!
Conclusion: Fantastic game, definitely worth buying!

Amazing Smash game, the best in the series.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a fantastic fighting game, and the best in the series. Countless fighters and amazing levels. Newcomers include Pac-Man and Megaman, 2 great fighters, and through DLC you can also purchase Mewtwo and Lucas. Furthermore, the dozens of tracks you can listen to are a nice addition, and the extra missions are fantastic as well. All in all, Super Smash Bros for Wii U is a must-have for its console.

Must have!
Super Smash Bros is a fighting game that brings together all Nintendo characters. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (or 3DS) is already the 4th installment in the series. And man, is it good!

There are many game modes available. Of course, there's the regular Smash, but also classic, challenges, smash tour (a kind of board game), and much more! There's a lot to unlock: music, trophies, a lot of trophies, but also custom moves. This allows you to customize your fighters to your own taste and is a lot of fun. The online mode has also been greatly improved. There are different modes available and everything now runs smoothly.

Amazing!
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is an amazing fighting game. Play with friends or alone against computer-controlled enemies in battles with 4 characters, or even with 8 characters at the same time.

You can make the opponents even more challenging by using Amiibos and training them to the maximum level.

Furthermore, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U offers many modes (story, 8 player, online, etc.), so there is always something to do in the game. This is one of my favorite Wii U games.

Super Smash Bros Wii U is a must-have
Fantastic as usual, the Smash Bros collection expands with this new edition for the Wii U. In addition to the familiar characters, new classics are introduced. Both Duck Hunt and the long-awaited MegaMan make their debut in the Smash franchise. As usual, it's great to play this with your friends, but it's also quite entertaining to do it alone, as long as not for too long.

So much fun!
Smash Bros has never been this much fun before.
You can be a ton of characters, and battle in so many locations. And when you play with your friends, it becomes 10 times more enjoyable!
Moreover, there's a lot more you can do like missions, etc.
So Super Smash Bros. for Wii U gets a solid 10 from me! Truly a great and fun recommendation for the Wii U fan.

Chaotic as can be!
Super Smash Bros. has always been a cool series, but with this game, they've really gone all out. What's different in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (and the 3DS version) is that you can play with 8 people at the same time, which of course is super chaotic. Additionally, it's also new that you can scan your amiibo, and they become your own AI fighter that you can train yourself! There are also various new characters, and you can collect a whole bunch of new trophies from previous Nintendo games.

Fun game
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a very enjoyable fighting game with a wide variety of characters. Each character also has custom moves that you can obtain by playing Classic Mode, for example. You can activate them on the screen where you choose your character. Once activated, you select a character with a custom move and then you can apply the custom move. One of the best custom moves is Palutena's Lightweight. You can also find tier lists of various aspects of the game on YouTube. There is also DLC available for the game. You have to buy the DLC separately, and then you get new stages and characters, including Bayonetta, who is the best in the game due to her combos.

Excellent multiplayer experience with 8-player Smash and Amiibo integration
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is a fun game. But it mainly focuses on Smash matches and not really on other things. The classic mode gets a lot of hate, but for me it’s fine. You also have Masterpieces, and those are quite enjoyable. Special Smash is definitely the best here, and the 8-player Smash is a lot of fun. Amiibo is cool too.

Secrets:
How can I quickly defeat an opponent in Super Smash Bros. Wii U?
Kell96kell
215
Okay, not really a secret, but few people know this.
Many characters have a "meteor smash", where you rapidly descend downwards. While in the air, tilt your stick downwards and press A (2). This will kick downwards, and if done correctly, your opponent will be sent plummeting. However, if you do this over a pit, your opponent is (almost always) done for.
For example, with Mario you need to press sideways and A, and with Pikachu you need to use the thundercloud (which is tricky to aim). But with Captain Falcon, Villager, and Mewtwo, it's quite easy. Practice first against a computer before challenging friends.

How do I defeat 8 enemies in Cruel Smash on the Wii U?
NickGamerDutc ch

14 jaar
This afternoon, I was looking through the mission list to see if I could complete any tasks, and then I stumbled upon something that made me quite sad. At the top (the hardest challenges), it stated that I needed to defeat 8 enemies in cruel smash, while I usually could only manage a total of 2 if I really pushed myself. However, I managed to pull it off when I decided to play as Ganondorf: incredibly slow but strong, and he doesn't get knocked off the screen easily. What you need to do is fairly simple: hang off the edge of the stage, climb up briefly, and then perform the attack where you kick forward first and then backward. This way, you can knock 1 to 3 enemies off the stage and then hang off the edge again. Since the enemies aren’t programmed to jump back onto the stage but instead chase and attack you, they won’t be able to get back on. It can be tricky to master (especially with Mii's often lurking behind, ready to knock you off-screen), but after a while, you’ll be able to defeat around eleven Mii's just like I did, and you’ll complete the mission. Good luck!

You can do something similar with Greninja, but with his up-taunt. Greninja will spray out a sort of fountain from his hands, and if your opponent is standing right next to you, they'll get launched a bit into the air, taking about 2% damage! Give these tricks a go in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U!

What makes playing with King Dedede in Super Smash Bros. so special?
NickGamerDutc ch
2114
14 jaar
King Dedede is especially great for beginners, as he can knock someone out of the field in three hits with his hammer and has powerful long-range attacks like the Spike Balls from the Kirby games. He also falls under the heavy characters, so he can take a lot of hits without getting knocked too far away. But what makes King Dedede so special? He can also fly for a long time, staying in the game for a prolonged period.

Personal tip:
How to effectively play with Ike in Wii U?
NickGamerDutc ch
2114
14 jaar
Ike is a character classified among the heavier characters, which gives him the ability to not be easily knocked off the field. Unlike other heavy characters, Ike does have a counter, and when used against an opponent's attack, he hits back twice as hard. Additionally, he can easily get back on the stage by using his Up + B attack. This propels him back onto the stage while also dealing damage. Furthermore, he is very powerful in his other attacks.

How to play effectively with Mario in Super Smash Bros. Wii U?

Mario is a character that falls under the "jack of all trades" category. He isn't heavy and can take off quite quickly, but he's also fast enough to get back on track with his double jump. A good way to take out an opponent who struggles to get back on the stage, like Little Mac and Captain Falcon, is to knock them off the edge. When they try to launch an attack to get back on, you whip out your flag. They end up turning their attack the other way and have just ruined their own chances.

Lucario becomes stronger as he takes more damage, reaching his peak at 200%.

So here’s a tip to make the most of this ability in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. At the start of the match, charge up your Aura Sphere (B attack) and use it when you have higher percentage! It will deal a lot of damage! If you forget to charge it, you can also use Force Palm (B forward) or his Smash attacks. When Lucario is around 200%, those can take out your opponents at 0%!
