The rock-solid gameplay of the Star Fox series took shape on the SNES. You pilot the fox, Fox McCloud, in your Arwing through spatial areas to defeat your enemies, led by Andross. You're accompanied by your team, consisting of the 3 iconic characters Slippy, Falco, and Peppy.

On the Wii U, the game plays wonderfully. With the capabilities of the GamePad, you can step into the cockpit of the Arwing and control it using motion controls. It may take some getting used to at first, but it soon becomes very enjoyable. On the TV screen, you can observe a larger area of the levels in a third-person perspective, allowing you to spot your enemies from afar and then take them down from the sky.

The levels look great in the final version of the game. There was some controversy after the unveiling at E3 2015, but Nintendo has since polished the game significantly. There's plenty to see, especially in the levels closer to the ground. The levels themselves can also become quite long and challenging. In addition to the standard levels, there are also some where you get to use new versions of your Arwing, like the Walker!

With the strong foundation of the series, the new additions, and beautiful graphics, Fox gracefully soars around in his Arwing on the Wii U. Whether you're a fan of the series or a newcomer, Star Fox Zero is a great game to entertain yourself with.

Star Fox: Zero is once again a bullseye.
Star Fox: Zero is a kind of reboot/remake of the original Star Fox. Is this really such a good idea? It often happens that people play the game cautiously. Additionally, people often doubt whether the original game will always be better and a remake can never replace it. Star Fox: Zero comes very close.

The game plays smoothly and there is more than enough action. Especially the battles against the end bosses always provide a different experience. With each battle, you have to fight something different and think about the right strategy on how to defeat this boss.

Getting used to the two different images on the gamepad and the TV screen may take some time. This is mainly because you can aim at your enemies on both screens. After a few hours of playing, you will get used to it. But that doesn't mean the game is any less enjoyable. The aerial battles between you and enemy planes remain a unique experience. Shooting down planes in space is exceptionally spectacular to see.

The game is definitely recommended because there are so many levels where you can't just get through them all at once because there is simply so much to discover in the levels.
