Fun 3D platformer reminiscent of Mario 3D Land
Fun game that resembles Mario 3D Land, I quite enjoy 3D platformers so Sonic Lost World: Deadly Six Edition was right up my alley! The graphics look great and the background music is enjoyable. The only downside is that there aren't many levels, so you can breeze through it pretty quickly, but as you progress, the levels get more challenging!

Great game for Wii U, beautiful graphics, but repetitive, weak storyline
Unfortunately, after Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colours, and Sonic Generations, SEGA and Sonic Team decided to throw the entire boost mechanic in the trash and create something completely new with Sonic Lost World: Deadly Six Edition. This isn't bad, but the game doesn't feel truly innovative. All levels seem very similar, with standard themes, and the game itself heavily draws inspiration from Super Mario Galaxy. However, the game functions well and the controls are smooth. It also looks stunning.
Another downside is the overly simplistic storyline. The Deadly Six appear without reason and are simply evil for the sake of being evil. Overall, it's a good game, but certainly not Sonic's finest.

The gameplay is okay, the story is terrible
Sonic Lost World: Deadly Six Edition definitely has enjoyable gameplay. It's short, but the levels are fun and you can definitely get some enjoyment out of it. Fortunately, the game (unlike many other Sonic games) doesn't have any glitches. There's 2D and 3D gameplay with speed, puzzles, and boss battles in between. The game also boasts beautiful graphics.

However, the game also has some downsides. The levels are sometimes a bit easy, but especially the story is just so bad. Terribly bad humor, the Deadly Six are not at all enjoyable as villains, and they've made Tails terribly selfish. He's literally mean to everyone and thinks he's better than everyone. That's pretty much the opposite of how he really is!

If you're not a Sonic fan or stories in games don't matter to you, it's fine. I'm a fan myself, so personally, the story made it a much less enjoyable game for me. Especially when you consider how fantastic the stories in the Sonic Adventure games were. Sonic stories and characters were serious when needed. From 2010-2017, every story became a big joke.
