Improved gameplay and dynamic combat mechanics
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for the Nintendo Wii U is a revision of the original Ninja Gaiden 3 and offers significant improvements that elevate the gameplay and overall experience. In this action-packed hack-and-slash game, we follow the legendary ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he faces a mysterious enemy and unravels a dark conspiracy. For me, it felt like a breath of fresh air for the franchise, with the necessary adjustments that truly benefit the game.

One of the biggest improvements in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is the addition of deeper gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to defeat enemies and take on their powers. This not only makes the combat more dynamic but also more strategic. You have to adapt your skills to different enemy types, which provides a challenging and satisfying experience. The controls feel responsive and precise, which is essential for executing Ryu’s deadly combos and spectacular special attacks. This really made me feel in control of every move Ryu made.

The graphics are impressive for the Wii U, with detailed environments and smooth animations that beautifully showcase the brutality of the fights. The atmosphere is dark and intense, perfectly aligning with the story of betrayal and revenge. The soundtrack adds an exciting layer to the action, making the adrenaline soar during battles.

The Wii U version also cleverly utilises the touchscreen of the GamePad for features like quickly selecting weapons and upgrades, which I personally found to be a handy addition. Although the story remains somewhat underdeveloped compared to earlier titles in the series, the game is much more enjoyable and challenging than the original, with a strong focus on action and gameplay.

All in all, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for the Nintendo Wii U is a strong addition to the franchise. The improvements take the gameplay to new heights and make it a must-play for fans of action games. It’s an excellent way to rediscover Ryu Hayabusa’s skills and immerse yourself in his world of adventure and combat.

Intense blood-soaked action! Chop your enemies to pieces with different weapons; learn new tricks and moves, and follow the fun story.

I would never let my nephew play this game. It's really a game for 15+. Why? It's bloody. Very bloody. Additionally, there are other frightening images to see.

But somewhere I do enjoy that, and I think there are enough fellow gamers who feel the same. Casually going wild in a game. Lovely.

Graphically, it's fine. It does stutter occasionally when there are many enemies on the screen.

The music is good. Controls are really great! It's a bit of a hack and slash, some might call it a button smasher... But if you keep your calm and analyze what's happening on the screen, it's no longer just a button basher.

Gameplay is good. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is also not expensive; I bought it for 10 euros. For that money, I couldn't leave it behind!

Pure and raw action!
Ninja Gaiden 3 stems from a series of ninja games. However, the predecessor of Ninja Gaiden 3 was not successful, which raised doubts about this game quickly. Ninja Gaiden 3 is far from perfect, but what a fun game it is.

Ninja Gaiden 3 brings the ninja games to the Wii U. This is a big step for Nintendo games because here you won't find friendly and funny fights, but truly hardcore action. Limbs flying everywhere create spectacular visuals. The storyline is simply about defeating all your enemies standing in your way in the most brutal manner.

The pure action gameplay of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will definitely leave an impression on you. If you, for example, enjoy Mortal Kombat, this is the perfect game.
