It's worth noting that all Amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. Collection are identical to their in-game artwork. This explains why some Amiibo have peculiar poses, like this plumber's brother, and therefore require support stands. Fortunately, Mario doesn't need one himself.
Of course, Mario can be used in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Training your Amiibo can be fun, but that's pretty much the extent of it in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. In Mario Party 10, you can unlock the Amiibo Party mode by simply tapping an Amiibo, like Mario, to the GamePad. That's another great thing about Amiibo. Beautiful and Handy Too This Mario Amiibo is always a good choice. It's a kind of standard figurine that can be used in many games. Besides, the figurine looks beautiful as well. Especially the fireball in Mario's hands is very detailed and unique.
Fun but pricey Amiibos are a really cool invention by Nintendo. You can use them for Super Smash Bros WiiU (and 3DS) and for Mario Kart 8.
Great for your collection (there are 49 amiibos in the Smash series) but quite expensive if you want to collect them all...

Nice but very expensive Nintendo sure knows how to make you spend your money. Amiibo Mario (No. 1) - Super Smash Bros. series looks neat and nice. With his hands, he's a real fire master! Some figures have strange poses but Mario doesn't. It works via NFC so it's nice and easy: just a click and he's connected.
