Platform perfection
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze builds upon Donkey Kong Country Returns and improves it in every way. The graphics are absolutely breathtaking.
There are a lot of details in the background with references to previous Donkey Kong titles, and the backgrounds, enemies, and obstacles look very sharp.
Even the music received an upgrade. The composer of the original Donkey Kong Country games for the Super Nintendo is back and delivers a phenomenal soundtrack. The biggest improvement is the level design. Each level has its own feel and the different islands have their own atmosphere. The levels are all very different with new obstacles everywhere.
Furthermore, you can now play as multiple characters from the Donkey Kong franchise. Diddy Kong is back, but now Cranky and Dixie Kong are also playable, all of which you will need to collect certain items. This game is very challenging if you aim for 100%, but otherwise it's quite doable. There is a lot of content and you can even play the game with two players. It will take a long time before you get tired of this game and for the low price, it is absolutely worth it. Cijfer:
