Many levels feature small puzzles that you need to solve in order to collect the star.  Zzzzz... And they call themselves an adventurous Treasure Tracker?  You can spend playtime on the slides. Those owls don't look too happy though...

A fun puzzle game for 1 player!
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a fun puzzle game for one player. If you enjoy puzzling and like exploring lands, collecting items, and solving puzzles along the way, then this is the game for you!
The game features many lands that are relatively easy on their own. However, if you want to collect all the diamonds, you'll need to solve puzzles in a certain way or search carefully because some of these puzzles are definitely not easy!

The game itself looks beautiful with stunning graphics. The camera can be a bit tricky at times, but once you get used to it, it's not too bad. One downside of the game is that the story remains the same throughout, and the game keeps using the same bosses. However, each land is different, and each has its own hidden objective. These objectives can be incredibly challenging, which is a big plus for the game.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, a puzzle game for young and old!
In CTTT, you navigate your way through over 70 challenging puzzles in the form of levels; some levels are easy, and some are not. I really had to think for some of the levels! In the end, the bosses do become a bit repetitive as they use the same boss repeatedly.
Play this game if you: love puzzles, are a fan of Toad, or just want to enjoy!
You might want to pass on this game if: you prefer a game with lots of action.

A game with the adorable Toad, who wouldn't want that!?
If you've played Super Mario 3D World a few times, you've probably already played the Toad levels. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is definitely a must-have if you enjoyed those levels, as this is even more fun and challenging! The downside is that you'll breeze through the game quite quickly. I already loved Captain Toad's mini adventures in Super Mario 3D World. When I heard that we would get to see his adventures in one big game, I was sold. It's supposed to be a puzzle game, but I really appreciate how they've packaged those puzzles: you search/fight/drive your way to the star. Despite some levels being full of dangers, they still maintain their Mario charm. You throw turnips, the enemies like Shy Guy are present, and most importantly: you are Toad (and in some cases Toadette).
The game also motivates me to achieve 100%. Collecting all the diamonds and completing the (secret) achievements really add something extra to the levels.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a very good game with its own charm. It might be a bit on the short side, but I'm just happy that Toad finally got his own game. Cijfer:

Great game, lots of challenges and plenty of thinking.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a fun game if you enjoy puzzle games. Levels have no time limit, so you can take your time and enjoy each level. Some levels require you to really think about your moves, or else you'll have to start over. As you progress through the game, the levels become more difficult, adding to the challenge. And if you aim to collect all the diamonds, it becomes even trickier. However, the game does have relatively few levels; a few more would have been nice. Cijfer:

Fun and beautiful puzzle game, all about Toad!
Fun puzzle game where everything revolves around Toad, whom you play with. Toadette also appears in the game. By solving puzzles, you can discover new lands. This game also features beautiful visuals. I think the game is well-made. However, I'm not a big fan of puzzling and exploring new lands; I prefer just clearing obstacles and heading towards the flag. Nevertheless, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is indeed a fun and beautiful puzzle game! Cijfer:

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is fun with a few downsides
Having enjoyed the levels of Captain Toad in Super Mario 3D Land, I decided to get this game. I definitely found it enjoyable, but there were a few downsides. Personally, I feel that after completing the game once, you've seen everything. Also, you can't jump in the game, which can be quite challenging at times. Cijfer:

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a fun game for your Nintendo Wii U. You go on an adventure with Captain Toad in a small level. In this level, there are 3 diamonds and 1 golden star. The diamonds are extra collectibles scattered throughout the level, and the golden star is the ultimate goal. You will also encounter various enemies, which can attack you, but you cannot attack them.
Now that we've covered the game's description, let's talk about the levels. The levels are creatively designed. However, I must say that everything seems reminiscent of Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D Land. It's nice to see this, but it also feels a bit cheap. Additionally, the levels are quite easy at the beginning, and I personally breezed through them in about an hour. I was worried that I had already completed the game, but fortunately, there was a Chapter 2 with Toadette. The levels in Chapter 2 are much more enjoyable and truly feel like puzzles at times.
In conclusion, I found the game very enjoyable. It may have started off a tad too easy, but Chapter 2 really redeemed it for me. The game is fun, just a bit too easy. Cijfer:

Nice concept, but not for me
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a nice concept, but not my cup of tea. The game is a puzzle game and is definitely not your typical Mario game. You can only walk, no jumping allowed.
