Just like on your tablet
I really enjoyed playing Angry Birds on my tablet and wanted to try it on my Wii U as well. I thought it would have different levels, but that's not the case. You might as well buy it on your tablet because the controls are much smoother there.

It's still Angry Birds Star Wars, where you launch birds at buildings and even in space, using gravity to your advantage! However, I was expecting a lot more from this game than just a copy of the tablet version.

Birds now also found extraterrestrial!
In 2009, I started playing the first real Angry Birds. I enjoyed it for years, but when I heard that there would be an Angry Birds Star Wars crossover, I knew right away that this game was for me. The new levels are, as always, amazing and certainly very different from the previous parts. They have now also used gravity, which takes some getting used to at first, but in the end, you won't be able to tear yourself away from the TV.

Creative Star Wars twist, but quickly becomes dull and repetitive
Angry Birds Star Wars on the Wii U combines the classic slingshot gameplay of Angry Birds with a creative Star Wars twist. For me, it was enjoyable to see how the levels are inspired by iconic scenes from the original trilogy, with the birds and pigs transformed into characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia. The Wii U GamePad is well-utilised, with touchscreen controls that work intuitively and allow you to follow the action on the second screen.

Although the gameplay stays true to the familiar formula of Angry Birds, the Star Wars theme and special powers of the birds provide a fresh and entertaining experience. I found it amusing to see how the birds have unique abilities, such as using a lightsaber or the Force, which adds a new dimension to the game. However, it quickly becomes dull and repetitive; it doesn't really hold my interest in the long run.

For fans of both Angry Birds and Star Wars, it’s a fun but not groundbreaking addition to the franchise. The game offers an entertaining experience for a short while, but lacks the depth to remain interesting for an extended period. If you're looking for a game that keeps you engaged for longer, then Angry Birds Star Wars on the Wii U might not be the best choice.
